The Walkerville Junior Football Club has been rocked by the very sad and sudden passing of Deb Aston, wife of Chris Aston our Under 15 Red coach.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Chris, Jacob and all of the family. As a committee and a club we will be looking to support Chris and the family as much as we can.
Given the loss of one of the Walkerville JFC family and passing of Phil Walsh today we will be wearing black armbands this weekend and have a minutes silence for our Under 11 and older teams.
It is a very difficult day for the football community generally and very sad for WJFC given the events closer to home. Our club takes a lot of pride in being a strong family club. Whilst we strive to be competitive it is not about winning but about developing our boys, providing a fun environment and supporting each other. At this time it is important we remember these values and I am sure everyone will support each other at this difficult time.
Warmest Regards
Committee WJFC
